Support
Questions, problems, or feedback about Amby? Email us at contact@amby.health. A real person on the Amby team reads every message, and we aim to reply within two business days. It helps to include the phone number on your Amby account and, if something went wrong, what you were doing when it happened.
How Amby works
Amby is a running and fitness coach you talk to by text message. Your coaching happens in your messages. The Amby iPhone app is where you connect the services your training data comes from and manage your account and settings.
Creating an account
Accounts are created on the web at app.tryamby.com/get-started. Once you have one, sign in to the iPhone app with the phone number on your account. We text you a code to enter.
I didn't get a sign-in code
Check that the country and number match the phone number on your Amby account, then wait a minute and ask for a new code. If the app says there is no Amby account for your number, create one at app.tryamby.com/get-started first. Still stuck? Email us.
Connecting your data
Apple Health
In the Amby iPhone app, open Integrations and tap Connect on Apple Health. iOS will ask which Health data Amby may read. Amby only reads from Apple Health and never writes to it. To change what Amby can read later, open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then Apps, then Amby.
Garmin, Strava, WHOOP, Oura, and other devices
In the app, open Integrations and tap Connect with Terra. Pick your service and sign in to it. Terra is the service that securely carries your data to Amby. You can also connect these on the web at app.tryamby.com/account/integrations.
Why can't I connect anything?
Amby needs your permission to send your data to our AI provider before it can coach you, so connecting a new source is turned off until you give it. Open Settings in the app, read how your data is used, and tap Allow and turn coaching on.
Disconnecting a source
Tap Disconnect next to it on the Integrations screen. New data from that source stops. The history Amby already received is kept unless you ask us to delete it.
Your account and your data
Turning coaching off
In Settings, tap Withdraw permission in the section about sending your data to our AI provider. Amby stops replying and stops sending you anything. Your account, history, and connected sources stay, and you can turn coaching back on in the same place.
Deleting your account
In the iPhone app, open Settings and tap Delete account. You can also do it on the web at app.tryamby.com/account/settings. This permanently deletes your profile, training history, health and wearable data, plans, and your conversation with Amby, and revokes your wearable and calendar connections. It cannot be undone.
For how we handle your data, see our Privacy Policy and Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy. Our Terms cover using the service.
Amby is not a medical service
Amby is a fitness and wellbeing coach. It does not diagnose or treat conditions and does not give medical advice. If something hurts, worries you, or is getting worse, speak to a doctor. If you think you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.
